Founded in 2021 during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Parkinson Support Center of Northern Nevada (PSCNN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s Disease. Their goal is to provide a community, education, advocacy for the more than 5,000 people living with Parkinson’s Disease in our region.
Dignified Aging Strategies provides professional nurse care management to help older adults and their families navigate complex care needs. Their services include personalized care planning, oversight of caregivers and care facilities, and medical advocacy during appointments or hospitalizations. By coordinating care and ensuring clear communication between families and healthcare providers, they help support safety, quality of life, and informed decision-making.
The Sanford Center for Aging strives to enhance the quality of life and well-being among elders and educate current and aspiring healthcare professionals and caregivers. The center is funded in large part through a substantial endowment made by Mrs. Jean Sanford in 1992. The express purpose of this endowment was ";…to support the activities… which are directed in whole or substantial part towards research, teaching and publicizing ways and means to improve quality of life for older adults."
GMTCare Reno provides non-emergency ground medical transportation throughout the Reno metropolitan area and surrounding communities.
