Recently, our team at Help at Home Senior Care had the privilege of participating in a meaningful community event hosted at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). We joined the Northern Nevada Senior Empowerment Seminar Group to present a comprehensive lineup of senior resources designed to support individuals and families as they plan for the future.
Events like this highlight something we deeply believe in—planning ahead and building trusted relationships can make all the difference when navigating aging and life transitions.
The seminar brought together a remarkable group of professionals who covered the many important decisions seniors and their families face over time. Presentations began with the importance of trust and estate planning, emphasizing how early preparation protects assets, honors personal wishes, and provides peace of mind for loved ones.
From there, attendees learned about care management services, which help coordinate medical care, advocate for seniors, and guide families through complex decisions. Discussions also covered in-home care services, including how personalized support at home can help seniors maintain independence, safety, and dignity.
Additional topics included:
Each presenter brought valuable expertise, and together, the group created a continuum of resources that supports seniors at every stage of life.
At Help at Home Senior Care, we were proud to represent the role of in-home care within this network of trusted professionals. Our team shared how personalized, compassionate care can help seniors remain safe and comfortable in their homes while maintaining meaningful routines and connections.
We also emphasized the importance of building relationships early—before care is urgently needed—so families know who to call when questions arise or circumstances change.
One of the greatest strengths of events like this is the opportunity for community members to meet professionals face-to-face, ask questions, and begin building trusted connections that may support them months or even years down the road.
We are grateful to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and the Northern Nevada Senior Empowerment Seminar Group for hosting such an informative and collaborative event. Bringing together experts from multiple fields ensures that seniors and their families receive well-rounded, thoughtful guidance as they plan for the future.
At Help at Home Senior Care, we remain committed to being an active part of our community—educating, supporting, and walking alongside families through every stage of aging.
We look forward to continuing to participate in events like these and strengthening the network of trusted resources available to seniors throughout Northern Nevada.
